There are different types of circulating currencies and they are: Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium & Diamonds. These are the most used circulated currencies in the world.
The price of these coins can vary depending on the quality of each one. Some people also like to collect them for their beauty.
Gold is an important currency which has been used since ages and it is a great investment as well as for decorative purposes. The most valuable gold coin that I have ever seen was an Austrian Gold Thaler Coin from 18th century with a face value of 100 Euros (EUR).
This coin had a weight of 456 gm and contained .15 grams pure gold and had a diameter measuring 1 inch (2 cm). It would be interesting to see if this same coin will sell at its current price now or what will happen in future years when prices may increase?
If you do not want to invest money in gold but still want to own it then you can buy coins made by other countries like Swiss Francs or Canadian Dollars which contain more than 0% pure gold but only worth 2% less than the original Gold Coin. I think buying such coins could be considered as collecting because they are rarer than the ones that contains real gold!
You should make sure before buying any coin whether it is genuine or fake otherwise your money might go down the drain! It’s always better to keep all your savings in banks where there is safety rather than keeping them with yourself! Finally i’d say thank you for reading my answer and hope this helps 🙂
